The new designs are focused on simplifying the complex and utilizing psychological stickiness to retain the information learned.
Devisably2020
Co-founded and designed to provide everyone with a living will and trust completely free of charge. Each member has the ability to edit their will at any point and can assign their assets according to their wishes to any beneficiary, or use the smart disbursement tool to automatically keep disbursement up to date. After passing, Devisably handles the execution of the will.
Survivors Of The Holocaust2016
This microsite for The Hollywood Reporter features the remaining entertainment industry survivors of The Holocaust and was nominated for a Webby award. The responsive design allowed for playing video from each survivor while allowing for scrolling to read each person’s full story and view their history within the entertainment industry.
Hollywood Reporter2013 - 2019
The Hollywood Reporter’s interactive properties were in dire need of a completely new user experience to take advantage of growing mobile traffic, new advertising opportunities as well as bringing the site’s branding and visual quality up to that of the magazine. Since the redesign, The hollywood Reporter has won several ASME awards for National Magazine Of The Year (that encompasses digital properties as well). The performance of the site is faster, provides more ad impressions with less ads, and has improved time on site, bounce rate and page views.
Billboard2013 - 2019
Billboard.com required a complete UI/UX redesign and an updated style guide to better reflect the brands position within the industry. Creating an adaptive framework and utilizing a readable san-serif font that pairs nicely with the bold billboard logo were the first steps of the improved UI. From there a concerted effort to understand the user was undertaken and lead to the development of a card style design that allows for content to be the focus of the site that has decreased bounce rate while it increased page views, time on site, and ad impressions. Additionally, the twitter charts were nominated for a Webby Award.
LexVita2015
LexVita is a completely new private networking site for lawyers. This adaptive site allows lawyers to communicate in a secure manner with other lawyers from all devices and locations. Additional features include the ability to ask and answer anonymous questions in the user forums, video chat, and the surfacing of news and blogs.
Interstellar Roundtable: Longform2014
This is the third long format article from The Hollywood Reporter. This article is a highlight of a round table discussion from the creators of the film Interstellar. It includes full motion introduction screen background, animation timed to user scroll points, designs that break the grid in order to reduce monotony, and a large end slide to help improve a users ability to retain the information.
No Animals Were Harmed: Longform2013
This is the first long format article from The Hollywood Reporter. This scathing article reveals how often animals are harmed in film and television production and the cover ups by the very governing body that is supposed to insure the animals safety. It includes full width adaptive parallax functionality, tweetable quotes, and persistent navigation and sharing tools.
Luxury Link2012
Taking a cue from e-commerce best practices, analytics reports, and user testing; a complete website redesign was implemented to enhance functionality, ease of use, as well as improving key metrics. Specific enhancements include: improved orientation, navigational structure, search and filtering capability, more relevant information, improved SEO, and transparent pricing.

Vacationist.com is the members only flash sales website for the Luxury Link Travel Group. This property features amazing luxury vacations curated by the editors of Travel + Leisure Magazine. These properties are on sale for a limited time only. This redesign was a complete do-over for not only the visual aspect but also the entire functionality in order to make the purchasing process easier.
Pet Match2012
The challenge was create a pet matching website and a back end functionality for shelters to showcase their pets and for users to find their next pet. The first step was to create a site structure and then wireframes. The most interesting aspect of the back end was the idea of creating a bulk up-loader for shelters to easily manage their pets. The next step was to design the consumer-facing site with A/B test pages. This is designed to have scalable CSS to adapt to different screen resolutions and devices.
Media Pass2012
Media Pass provides simple to install subscription plans for web content providers. The goal of this website redesign was to simplify the understanding of the product as well as make signing up as easy as possible. To accomplish this the design incorporates easy to find “get started” and “learn more” buttons that lead the user into an accordion style sign up. This provides feedback to the user as to where they are in the process and lets them know how easy it is to implement.
Globetrender2012
This members-only, high-end, review site was developed for the affluent consumer. Members must be invited, and qualify to post reviews of the hotels, events, restaurants, nightclubs, and stores. Standard accounts are allowed to view reviews only. This interface provides quick response, and multiple ways to view the data, so the users can easily find what they want.
Chicken Soup For The Soul2011
Chicken Soup For The Soul is the world-wide community of inspirational stories. In addition to selling the books and other materials, the website is now an online social community where users can share their stories, give help to others, and get help themselves. This was a completely new design for aesthetics, information architecture, and usability.
Brighter2010
This is the redesign for Brighter.com that has applied all of the learnings from user testing of the current site. Brighter.com allows users to find reputable dentists in their area and see their ratings and likes on all the major social networking sites. Users can save up to 60% by using a coupon to save on their first visit and becoming a member for a small monthly fee to continue saving on all dental procedures. The site also includes an extensive administration area.
iWorks2010
iWorks is a marketing and advertising firm with offices in Santa Monica, CA and St.George, UT. Their primary focus is on internet based marketing but they wanted people to be aware that they can handle other aspects of marketing and advertising as well. After establishing a style guide and creating marketing materials it was time to focus on the website. In addition to organizing the public facing website to present all the available services, an extensive account management side complete with reports, merchant account and order filtering control panels.

Digital Design Program Commercial2003
With The Digital Design Program being relatively new at the time, the faculty asked for a video to be created to show prospective students explaining the program. The first step was creating a script that takes you through the program chronologically and end with a payoff of getting a job, while displaying students’ work. Then shooting on a green screen to have the students talk about each year. The design of the space was to show these items within frames of the building that students took the majority of their classes in.
